    BPI's Dr. Orlando Rojas was interviewed about how waste wood can be recycled to produce material stronger than steel. This material is referred to as "healed wood" and it is more resistant to breaking than stainless steel or titanium alloys.

    BPI RESEARCHERS DEVELOP NEW CLASS OF SOFT MATERIALS

    A new class of soft materials was created by BioProducts Institute researchers. Rojas Research Group’s Dr. Milad Kamkar developed a technique called “liquid streaming”. This technique uses 3D printers to deposit a mixture of water and graphene oxide in oil.
