Barbara Conway PhD

Research Grants Facilitator

Barb brings a wealth of knowledge about the Canadian research funding landscape accumulated over 29 years in research and grants facilitation. In her 20 years at UBC in the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences, she has gained considerable experience working with the university’s funding structures, policies and procedures, research ethics and reporting, as well as graduate program administration and curriculum. She has worked directly on grant applications with UBC investigators to help them win over $4 million in funding from NSERC, CIHR, CRC and CFI. Barb holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Alberta.
