A total of 32 BPI researchers are named among the 100,000 most-cited scientists, or among the top 2% of most-cited scientists in their respective subfields according to the science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators released by Elsevier in early October. The database provides both career-long and single-year data, with 27 BPI researchers acknowledged for their exceptional influence in the single recent year (2022) and 24 for their career-long impact up to the end of 2022. This collective achievement reaffirms BPI's status as a center for impactful and influential research.
This publicly-available database classifies scientists into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields and covers citations up to the end of year 2022. The top-cited scientists are identified based on citation metrics including total citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score).
