Six BPI Researchers Ranked Among World's Top Material Scientists

Six researchers from BPI - Orlando Rojas, Mark MacLachlan, Savvas Hatzikiriakos, Frank Ko, Emily Cranston, and Feng Jiang - have been recognized among the world's top material scientists with a d-index of 40 or higher by Research.com. This ranking highlights their significant contributions to the field of materials science.

The 3rd edition of Research.com's ranking, released on November 21, 2023, evaluated scholars based on a comprehensive analysis of bibliometric data from sources such as OpenAlex and CrossRef. The d-index (Discipline H-index), which measures the impact and productivity of a researcher’s publications within a specific discipline, was the primary metric used for the ranking.The selection process included thorough manual inspection and cross-referencing of publications to ensure accuracy.
