At the CHBE Research Day 2024, hosted by UBC Chemical Biological Engineering on February 16th, our BPI researchers achieved notable success, winning several awards for their presentations.
From Orlando Rojas’ group, Marina Mehling received the Best 3MT and People’s Choice 3MT Awards, and Isabella Howley was awarded the People's Choice Undergrad Poster. In Emily Cranston’s group, Alexandra Rousseau won the Best Oral Presentation and People’s Choice Oral Presentation, with Kudzanai Nyamayaro taking home the Best Postdoc Poster award. Johan Foster’s group celebrated as Akash Gondaliya won Best Oral Presentation and secured 2nd Place in the 3MT, while Adel Jalaee received the Best Grad Poster award. Susan Baldwin’s group's Amzy Vallenas was recognized with the People’s Choice Grad Poster award.
