In June 2023, Yuhang Ye achieved a remarkable milestone as the inaugural Ph.D. graduate from the Sustainable Functional Biomaterials Lab, under the expert guidance of Professor Feng Jiang.
Yuhang's doctoral research was dedicated to advancing nanocellulose-based gel conductors, earning him widespread recognition, including the prestigious International Academy of Wood Science PhD Award (First Place), the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad, and a UBC Four-Year Doctoral Fellowship. Yuhang’s groundbreaking work has been published in prestigious journals such as Chemical Reviews, Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Energy, and Materials Horizons. Currently, he is working as a postdoc in the field of Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania.
