Dr. Orlando Rojas's recent trip to Chile was a journey filled with inspiration and remarkable connections. Invited by the Chilean Senate, he delivered a keynote speech at Congreso Futuro, an eminent scientific-humanist event in Latin America. Organized by the Senate, the Chilean Academy of Sciences, and the Government, Congreso Futuro unites global thinkers and expert scientists, fostering dialogue on global challenges and progress, blending science and humanism. This event, featuring participation from national leaders and the Chilean public, both in-person and online, was broadcast nationally on UATV Noticias. Additionally, Orlando engaged in multiple interviews with major media, including CNN Chile and Radio Duna.
Notable highlights included dining with the President of Chile and engaging with key figures from prominent educational institutions, such as Universidad de La Frontera and Universidad Autónoma de Chile. His interactions also extended to industry leaders from CMPC, Spore.Bio, Strong by Form, and Oxford Nanopore Technologies, setting the stage for potential collaborations and partnerships.
This visit marks a significant step in expanding BPI's global research collaboration network. The connections and discussions held in Chile promise to open new avenues for research and innovation, furthering BPI's mission in global scientific advancement.
