EDI.I Workshop - Thriving Together
September 13, 2024, 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm
Thriving Together: Celebrating Our Diverse Cultures
LOCATION: KAIS #2020 on the 2nd Floor of Fred Kaiser Building located at 2332 Main Mall, Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z4
Join us to celebrate our vibrant community of researchers from diverse cultural, ethnic, and geographical backgrounds. Through engaging table exercises, we will navigate unconscious biases, address racial remarks, understand ethnic microaggressions, enhance cultural competence, overcome stereotype threats, and master inclusive communication.
Bring your heritage, share your stories, and immerse yourself in learning experiences that foster a deeper understanding of cultural diversity. Our goal is to create a community where everyone feels welcomed and valued, enhancing our collective awareness and sensitivity toward different cultural backgrounds. Together, we can build a safe and thriving workplace where everyone shines in their unique identity.
