Orange Shirt Day Intergenerational March 2026

September 30, 2026, 11:30 am to 3:00 pm

ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us on September 30th to honour and support Survivors and intergenerational Survivors of the Indian residential school system, and to remember those who never returned home. Led by the Faculties of Forestry and Land & Food Systems, this march offers the UBC community a chance to come together in solidarity.

Let’s walk together in support of truth, reconciliation, and healing.

Agenda:

  • 11:30 AM: BPI members gather outside the Pulp and Paper Centre (2385 East Mall)
  • 11:45 AM: Gather with other participants at the outdoor ‘amphitheatre’ below the clock tower (1956 Main Mall)
  • 12:00 PM: Event begins (Full program available here)
  • 3:00 PM: March concludes
