Explore Science & Innovation at UBC!

Are you curious about science, engineering, and sustainability? Join us for a two-day immersive experience at the UBC BioProducts Institute, where you’ll explore cutting-edge research, take part in hands-on workshops, and connect with scientists working to build a more sustainable future.

You'll meet faculty, students, and researchers, exchanging ideas and learning about academic and career pathways in STEM. As part of the experience, you'll also attend BPI Research Day, engaging with experts across different fields and gaining insights into the world of research and innovation.

Who can participate?

Indigenous secondary school students in Grades 9–12 with an interest in chemistry, chemical/biological engineering, microbiology, material science, wood science, food and land systems, and sustainability are encouraged to apply. 

The program is free to participate in, with accommodations provided on campus in shared rooms for two students.
