Grouse Grind

BPI Grouse Grind 2026

June 12, 2026, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Challenge the Grind. Build Connections.

Join fellow researchers, colleagues, and partners for an energizing Friday afternoon of hiking, networking, and community building at Grouse Mountain. Take on the iconic Grouse Grind while enjoying fresh air, mountain views, and great company.

The Grouse Grind is a 2.1 km trail with approximately 780 m of elevation gain, typically completed in 60–120 minutes depending on fitness level. Participants may descend either by gondola download or via the BCMC Trail, a 2.7 km downhill hike that typically takes 1–2 hours.

We’ll gather at the trailhead and hike at our own pace. If you arrive at the summit early, relax with complimentary hotdogs, pops, and water while exploring the mountaintop and cheering on fellow hikers as they arrive. Attractions at the summit include grizzly bears, the lumberjack show, scenic viewpoints, and more. Zip lines and the new Gravity Coaster are also available at an additional cost.
