BPI's Accelerating Technology Readiness(ATR) Beta Program Launches
Big thank you and congratulations to 8 project leads that submitted an application for the ATR program to advance their innovations / technology. Super exciting to see the strong interest towards impact and commercialization . Though we will be only able to work closely with 4 of the projects we look forward to coaching the other 4 and another that may come up until the next call. - Amanda Johnson - Grasstic , Biobased packaging film from hetero-polysaccharides
- Avery Noonan - identifying, characterizing, and developing technologies for the study of psychoactive tryptamines, including psilocybin for mental health disorder
- Jingqian Chen - Monodispersed Carbonized Lignin Particles
- Marc Massicotte, Ivan Zhang - Aerogel technology applied to clothing insulation foam
- Sara Fleetwood - Alpenshield, plant-based hydrophobic coating
- Thomas Brenner - Phage cocktail that can target and eliminate all major Salmonella strains, and numerous Escherichiacoli strains
- Xue Shi - Insulated foam materials directly from bulk wood
- Yizhou Sang - Sustainable high-performance structural materials from low-value wood
