UBC Faculty of Applied Science has released a new short film featuring Dr. Orlando Rojas via APSC Research website. In this video, Dr. Rojas will guide you into the cutting-edge research activities curerntly happening at BPI. Some of the highlights include:
- Bioactive compounds extracted from birch bark used as antibacterial and antiviral agents
- 3D printing of nanocellulose and lignin-derived materials and fabrication of biomedical device
- Nanocellulose emulsions being tested for coatings, paints, cosmetics and food products
