Congratulations to Prof. Shahab Sokhansanj and the Biomass & Bioenergy Research Group (BBRG) on starting a new project aims to produce durable and homogeneous pellets with consistent quality from under-utilized and low-quality biomass resources in Canada. The project received financial support from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s AgriScience Program ($2.4 million over four years). BBRG is leading this project in collaboration with the Wood Pellet Association of Canada (WPAC) and BioFuelNet Canada (BFN). More information at the Canadian Biomass magazine.
